Website terms and privacy

This page explains how the Local 66 website is intended to be used and how information submitted through website forms is handled.

Privacy policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026. This page explains how IBEW Local 66 handles information submitted through the public website, job and book-signing intake, contact requests, event RSVPs, dashboard workflows, SMS opt-ins and opt-outs, and linked member-service workflows.

The public site collects only the information needed to operate the website and process forms a visitor chooses to submit. Depending on the form or workflow, that may include name, email address, phone number, mailing address, home local, classification, referral or employment information, form responses, notes, RSVP details, uploaded supporting documents, and SMS consent or opt-out records.

  • Contact and support formsName, email, phone, topic, subject, message, and routing details used for office follow-up.
  • Book-signing, referral, and application formsContact details, IBEW card or member number, home local, requested book, classification, work-readiness and eligibility responses, driver's-license type or number, state trade-license details, employment history, and supporting identity, termination, license, or qualification documents. Book 2 traveler intake may request only the last four digits of a Social Security number; the forms do not request a full Social Security number.
  • RSVP and event formsAttendance details, guest counts where enabled, accessibility or planning notes, and related event communication preferences.
  • SMS messaging recordsMobile number, opt-in source, consent status, message-delivery information, HELP or STOP-type replies, and opt-out records where SMS messaging is enabled.
  • Site operation dataIP address, browser and device information, session data, cookies or local browser storage, security logs, dashboard convenience features, and secure session controls for authorized staff access.

Use, sharing, storage, and security

Submitted information may be used for office communication, book-signing intake, referral or employment application review, portal setup or handoff, dispatch and re-sign follow-up, event administration, dues or member-service support, training or benefits communication, troubleshooting, security, audit trails, and related recordkeeping by authorized Local 66 personnel.

Local 66 does not sell, rent, or trade personal information collected through public website forms. Information may be shared with authorized staff, Working Systems, LaborPower, the LaborPower Mobile app, member portal services, linked payment or job-call services, hosting and dashboard providers, form-processing vendors, SMS/email messaging vendors, wireless carriers, security or technical-support providers, or legal/compliance recipients when needed to provide requested services, operate the website, protect systems, or comply with law.

SMS opt-in records, mobile numbers, and messaging consent information are not sold or shared with unrelated third parties for their own marketing. SMS-related data may be shared with vendors, carriers, Working Systems, LaborPower, or linked services only as needed to deliver messages, maintain opt-in or opt-out records, support requested services, prevent misuse, or comply with legal requirements.

Do not submit a full Social Security number, payment-card number, bank-account information, medical details, portal password, or other information that the form does not specifically request. An IBEW card or member number is a union identifier, not a payment-card number. Book 2 traveler intake requests only the last four digits of a Social Security number where the field is clearly labeled.

The site is designed to use HTTPS and to encrypt form payloads and attachments in the visitor's browser before storage. Limited operational metadata remains server-readable so authorized staff can route and manage the queue, including an opaque submission ID, form type, timestamps, status, one-way duplicate/rate tokens, kiosk provenance where applicable, staff workflow notes, and legal-hold references. Sensitive form answers and original attachment names are decrypted only in an authorized staff browser. Private runtime data is stored outside the public webroot. Before production intake, Local 66 must approve and configure a form-specific retention/deletion schedule, legal-hold authority, and records owner. No internet-facing system can promise absolute security. If you believe information was submitted in error or should be corrected, reviewed, or removed, contact the Local 66 hall using the Contact page or the office contact information published on this website.

Working Systems, LaborPower, and linked services

Member portal and mobile-app services may be provided through Working Systems, LaborPower, the LaborPower Mobile app, and related linked services. These services can support member account access, dues or payment workflows, re-sign tools, available-for-work list information, current job calls, bidding where enabled, announcements, push notifications, contact updates, and other local-union workflows.

Use of the IBEW 66 Member Portal, Working Systems, LaborPower, LaborPower Mobile, payment processors, map providers, video or social platforms, apprenticeship resources, benefits resources, and other external links may involve information maintained outside the public website, including member data, contact details, employment or referral history, dues/payment metadata, eligibility or book status, job-call activity, device data, technical session data, cookies, and operational records. Those services may maintain their own terms, privacy notices, cookies, security practices, and support processes.

External links are provided for convenience and workflow continuity. Local 66 is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of external websites or applications, and visitors should follow official hall instructions when portal records, dispatch records, posted notices, or signed agreements control.
